I am the 46-year old mother of four children, ages 14, 11, 9 and 7. Yes, I know I got started late in life having children, but that was God's plan for our lives. That makes being a mother just that much sweeter to me. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Mike, for 27 years. When I'm not working at home, I am a legal assistant for a local attorney and love my job. I really enjoy relieving stress with a nice, hot, sweaty jog.
I started scrapping 4 years ago when I returned from a dream trip to Hawaii. I knew I wanted a scrapbook of my trip, so I picked up an idea book at my local scrapbook store and scraplifted my very first page. It turned out awful, but I was instantly hooked. I didn't cook a meal for 2 days while I finished that scrapbook. My kids had lots of Ramen noodles until it was done. For the first time in my life, I saw that I did have some creativity. Since then, I haven't met a patterned paper I didn't like. I love making use of the patterned papers by cutting out elements in each pattern to embellish my page. I am in love with my Fiskars Micro-tip scissors. I take my Nikon D80 with me everywhere and my kids' friends even pose for me now.
I am so thrilled to be part of the team here at KMA! There are so many talented scrappers, not only on the team, but on the site itself. This is a privilege, and I am so excited.
