Holiday Card Challenge
Inspiration can come from the anywhere...we all know that. My favorite source of inspiration is my daughter’s closet. There is always an abundance of colors and patterns that mix and match (just like so many lines of patterned paper). My favorite store is Gymboree and I’ll dread the day when she outgrows their cloths entirely…it’s sneaking up on me fast! So coming up with this post all I did was open her closet door and pick something. The skirt was my inspiration for this Thanksgiving card and her hair ties the inspiration for the Christmas card. There are so many coordinating lines in the store right now that would be perfect for holiday cards and layouts. Like Basic Grey Figgy Pudding, and Mellow, Scenic Route Ashville and I really love the Making Memories Noteworthy for a non-traditional holiday color palette. I’m sure that you all have your favorites and hope that you’ll tell us what they are in the comments section. So your challenge for this month is to create a quick holiday card based on something that inspires you. You are also welcome to use the items that inspired me if you’d like. Just be sure to post your cards in the gallery and then link us to them here in the comments section--and tell us what your card inspiration was based on (it’s not necessary to post your inspiration unless you want to and we’d love to see:). Each member who posts a card linked here by the first Monday in December will be a candidate for our December Guest Design Team Spot. So show us what you make :)
Check back here often for more holiday cards created by the design team.
