During the past few weeks, my DD's kindergarten class has been learning about butterflies. As a conclusion, her teacher assigned the class a project of showing the life of a butterfly. When comes to appreciating teachers, I am the bomb. Here's what I did:
Monday: fill out index card with your favorite recipe. I had a 3x5 notebook that I got from my all-day crop. So I went through a recipe book and picked out 25 entrees and 25 desserts. She loved it! I suggested that she could take the other recipes that she got and put them in as well.
Tuesday: bring flowers....

My step-mom forward this e-mail over to me about a woman who created these types of babies out of cake icing with Marzipan. It's an almond, sweet paste made of ground almonds and sugar, often with egg whites or yolks. It used as a layer in cakes or molded into ornamental shapes. I could oh so talented....

My DH and DD gave me another Precious Moment and lots of cards. My DD made some handprints to use as magnets.
As everyone knows, Mother's Day is quite busy at the local restaurants. So to save my family the frustration, I suggested going to see "Iron Man" (which was reallly good) and going to Hooters for dinner.

I just finished two more LOs this evening. These photos were taken on our last camping trip to Mountain Lakes; a camping resort that's local. Little did we know that Angel, the dog, would have a major allergy attack to the pollen.

I had to save some LOs to do for the all-day crop on Saturday (aka: Scrapbooking Day). During that time I was able to finish 9 LOs; five for my step-mom's album and 4 for mine. Out of the four, three of them are on the gallery. I forgot to take photos of my step-mom's LOs before giving them to her.
There's a lot of techniques that I did on each LO and I would like to tell you about them...

After a few months without scrapbooking, I have finally come back to my hobby... it's like all the planets lined up to allow me to spend some quiet time doing something I enjoy so much. Thanks for the NSD challenges for getting the creative juices flowing again... it's like riding a bike ;-)
